Tuesday (Group one): Class is cancelled (this is the class I'd hoped to cancel last week before I also had to cancel Wednesday... trust me, next week everyone will be in sync!
Wednesday: Class is on! You will need two things (which you already have!).
The first is the original text of Gradation.
The second is your particular translation.
Also, everybody in all groups needs to remember this assignment, the deadline for which is rapidly approaching!

You will need:
The original text of Gradation and your translations and your answers to the questions about the text.
FOR ALL GROUPS!
The new assignment is here! Here it is!
Translated the text and at the same time include notes on what you found in the story.
These notes can include:
- the structure of the story
- sub-parts of the story
- literary qualities of the story
- identifiable aspects of the language used (euphony, alliteration, register, foreshadowing, parallels etc).
- notes on the realia (physical and cultural) referred to in the story (including the connotations they evoke).
- other things that you notice.
The notes should be from 1/2 a page to a full page (page = 1800 characters with spaces).
You may do this in English or Polish.
You may do this by yourself or in twos or threes.
The deadline for your translation (and analyses) will be May 14, 2023.
